The rail museum
If you are in our city, do not forget to visit the Rail Museum that works in the Andean Cultural Center .
This museum opened its doors in April 1999 and is fundamentally dedicated to highlighting the aspects that make up railway communication.
Although its original structure from the end of the 19th century was preserved, this train station was remodeled. It is the first and only technological and interactive museum in the city.
Located on the Old North Platform, it has very well set scenes from the past, where the functionality of the platforms, meeting place, farewells and reunions, are described with great fidelity. In one of the nine rooms that this exhibition has, there is a large model of the Argentine Republic, traveled by a scale electric train. There are also numerous collectibles that were part of railway technology and that have usage reviews and historical moments in which they were implemented.
It works in the Cultural Center of the Andean, which is located in the "Parque Evita" property in Bv. Rock and Bv. Ameghino, City of Río Cuarto and where the Administration of the Foundation for Culture, the Argentine Artists Gallery, the "Alberto Pinto" multipurpose room and the Letras con Café bar are also located. You can also find various cultural activities as it has a modern stage.
