If you ever travel to Río Cuarto and go to the center of the city from the Banda Norte neighborhood, you will surely cross the Río Cuarto through this emblematic bridge, if you also travel with a city dweller, they will probably tell you, while you observe the extension of the river or the mirror of water formed by the contemporary weirs when they are inflated, that between the rivets, nails and beams that support the iron structure of the bridge, "there is a gold rivet".
Revolving around one of the city's most traditional elements, this simple myth has been a part of popular conversation and passed down by word of mouth for over a hundred years, even inspiring a gripping crime-mystery novel called "El Remache de Oro" by local writer Esteban Llamosas, whose main plot revolves around the local Bridge and a series of murders that occur on it and that are related to secret organizations such as the Masons and the Templars.
